9. Tracking technologies

We employ tracking technologies in our services. These allow us to better understand how you use our Services, which helps us provide and improve them. However, tracking technology do not access, receive, or collect personally identifiable information. We have included some instances of the tracking technologies utilized in our Services.

  • Cookies. A cookie is a small text file that a website sends to a visitor's browser and that sends back information each time the visitor makes a request from the website. A cookie contains a unique identification number that identifies the visitor's browser, but not necessarily the visitor.

  • Cookies are used for a variety of objectives, including displaying the most relevant information based on your preferences and behaviour on our Services, estimating and reporting our Service's total audience size and traffic, and conducting research to improve our Services. We may also work with certain third-party suppliers, such as Google Analytics, to enable tracking technologies and remarketing services on our Platforms by using both first-party and third-party cookies. You can adjust your device's settings to accept or reject cookies. If you reject all cookies, you will be unable to fully use our Services. For additional information on cookie management, read Section 10 "Avaster Opt-Out" below.

  • Pixels. We can at times employ certain Facebook Business Tools, such as the Facebook Pixel. This technology enables Avaster to track what individuals do after viewing or clicking on a Facebook advertisement, as well as monitor the success of Facebook ads for statistical and market research objectives. Avaster will be able to better analyze and serve advertisements, making them more relevant to you. The acquired data stays anonymous, and Avaster does not have access to any particular user's personal information.

However, Facebook saves and processes the collected data. Facebook may be able to link the data to your Facebook account and use it for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with Facebook's Data Use Policy. Facebook maintains complete control over the information obtained through Facebook Business Tools and communications. You can opt out of Facebook's usage of cookies and Facebook Pixels by changing your Facebook account settings or withdrawing your consent here.

  • We and our third-party partners may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons, SDKs, pixels (or “clear gifs”) and other tracking technologies. Pixels are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Avaster Sites or, in the case of web beacons, opened an email that we have sent them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of Visitors from one page within our Avaster Sites to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Mailchimp Sites from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to serve targeted advertisements to you and others like you, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of marketing campaigns. While you may not have the ability to specifically reject or disable these tracking technologies, in many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly; accordingly, in those instances, declining cookies will impair the functionality of these technologies.

Data collected in this manner is anonymous to us, therefore we cannot view individual users' personal information. However, this information is retained and processed by Facebook. Facebook may associate this data with your Facebook account and use it for its own advertising purposes, according to Facebook's Data Policy, which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. You can allow Facebook and its partners to place advertising both on and off of Facebook. A cookie may also be saved on your device for these purposes.

Please click here if you would like to withdraw your consent https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads#_=_

  • Flash cookies. We use Flash cookies (also known as local shared objects or LSOs) to store some of your viewing preferences on our Services. These are used to gather and store information, but they differ from browser cookies in terms of data quantity, type, and storage method.

10. Avaster Opt-Out

We may display personalised and/or targeted adverts (each, a "Targeted Ad") to you while you use our Services, as well as through a variety of advertising networks and exchanges.

You can opt out of behavioural monitoring and/or interest-based advertising through our Platforms by going to your Account's "Settings" page. Your modifications to such opt-out settings may take 24 hours to take effect.

Please keep in mind that if you choose to "opt-out," we will no longer utilize the information we have acquired about you to provide Targeted Ads, but you will continue to receive adverts. You will continue to receive generic, non-targeted adverts that are served without using any of the information we have acquired about you. You may still receive adverts for other reasons, such as:

  • Avaster's Platforms display general adverts to all users.

  • Third-party advertisements may be personalized or targeted, but are not delivered by Avaster through mobile or web activities.

Please keep in mind that even though Avaster does not share your personal data (other than hashed or device identifiers, to the extent they are personal data in some countries) with any advertising networks and exchanges without your consent or unless as specified in this Privacy Policy, when you view or interact with an advertisement via any of your devices, an advertiser, advertising network, or exchanges can infer that you are within their target audience; or when you click on an advertisement, the publisher and/or advertiser will know you went to the website you clicked on, and they may still be able to associate personal data obtained directly from you by such third parties via cookies and similar tracking technologies.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time, and any changes will be made here. Your continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the amended Privacy Policy.

Avaster does not: (a) offer goods or services to, or monitor the behaviour of, the United Kingdom and European Union data subjects; and (b) process and/or hold the personal data of data subjects residing in the United Kingdom and European Union.
